The Purpose of this Page: If an adult told a young child to tie her shoes without teaching her how to tie her shoes, and then kept a record of all her failures in tying her shoes, what would you think of that adult? The treatment of the child is absurd. Yet many children are never taught how to study; they are simply told to learn the material and then tested. Learning skills should be taught so that students learn how to learn. The purpose of this page is to direct students, parents, and teachers to resources to instill the master skill -- the ability to learn.
